Clever Storage

This room is a TV and play area for a family of four with two young children. The goal for this room was to provide an attractive and creative storage solution that unlike built-ins, could be moved to another residence at a later date. An antique Japanese Mizuya was selected which has wide spaces on the top (suitable for a TV on one side) and lots of lower storage. An antique Japanese Tansu with a multitude of drawers was purchased; perfect for toys, coloring materials and legos. These two unique Japanese furniture pieces have multiple uses for always needed storage, while adding color and texture to the space. Photo credit: Buck Usher
